Silverton Medical Rescue (SMR) is the sole pre-hospital medical provider and rescue team for Silverton and San Juan County, CO. Our Motto is “any accident, anywhere, anytime, in any conditions” our Paramedics and EMTs are specialized in avalanche rescue, high & low angle rope rescue, swiftwater rescue, and austere medicine in a remote environment.

SMR is a great place to work if you are interested in austere medicine and are excited to hone/learn your technical rescue skills. Our department works a 48/120-hour work week meaning you get 5 days off every week. This position includes the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO. We also pay employees to attend trainings (including both medical trainings and technical trainings) and in many cases will pay tuition for trainings.
